For the fifth year, firefighters and the public can honor the 343 members of FDNY who bravely gave their lives on September 11, 2001 by climbing the stairs of the Hilton Baltimore. Join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation on Saturday, July 18th for the Annual Firehouse Expo 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Hilton Baltimore, 401 W Pratt Street in Baltimore.

“We want to be sure that each of those firefighters is represented by someone climbing the stairwell of the Hilton in Baltimore,” said Chief Ron Siarnicki, executive director of the NFFF. “The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a poignant way for firefighters who are in Baltimore for Firehouse Expo and members of the community to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live.”

Participants will climb the stairwell of the Hilton Baltimore multiple times for a total of 110 stories, representing the number of floors in the Twin Towers. Everyone will receive a photo ID of one of the fallen heroes of September 11th. Check-in begins at 8:30 am at the Hilton and the climb starts at 10:00 am. It is not a timed race.

The fee is $35 per person and includes pork or chicken BBQ sliders provided by Mission BBQ. The proceeds will benefit the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and the programs provided by the NFFF to support the survivors of our nation’s fallen firefighters.
