For the third year in a row the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) has partnered with Northern California’s Distant Cellars to offer a special limited wine release to raise money and awareness for an important cause. The mission of the NFFF is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes, provide resources to assist their survivors, and work within the fire service community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.
The annual special limited release of Tribute is produced and sold by family-owned and operated Distant Cellars, which donates 30 percent of all Tribute wine sales to the foundation. Since 2013 the annual wine sale has raised nearly $50,000, with this year’s release scheduled to start November 23.

“With a firefighter and an Air Force pilot among the brothers, we understand firsthand the risks our public servants take each and every day, the hardships endured by our loved ones, and the joy that comes from a life of service,” says Drew Gaiser, one of Distant Cellars owners and a Colorado-based firefighter.

tribute-2015“We are excited to partner again with Distant Cellars Winery for this unique and very popular opportunity, and we’re looking forward to building upon the success of the past two years,” said Chief Ronald Siarnicki, Executive Director of the NFFF. “The Gaiser family’s commitment to the Foundation’s mission is deeply appreciated.”
