Kelly Casillo
Kelly Casillo joined the First Responder Center for Excellence for Reducing Occupational Illness, Injuries and Deaths (FRC) as a Programs Specialist in 2018 and is now a Fire Programs Research Specialist for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Kelly’s professional background includes work with nonprofit organizations focused on public safety and the fire service, healthcare, education and the military. Kelly was introduced to the fire service at a young age through her father’s work in fire departments in Maryland and Washington, D.C. She recalls the inception of National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and had admired the mission of the Foundation, the support it provides to the fire service and family members, and the vision for the future of its leadership and staff. Combining her work experience with personal inspiration from her father’s fire service career and mother’s innovative work in public health research, policy and patient care, Kelly supports the important work of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
