Gordon Knight

Gordon Knight‚ 52‚ aviator‚ State of Colorado‚ contractor‚ died July 30‚ 2002‚ when his helicopter crashed while dropping water on hot spots at a wildfire. A Nebraska native‚ he earned a Purple Heart as a U.S. Army pilot in Vietnam. Knight was a professional brewer who started three brewpubs in the Boulder area and won gold medals for three of his beers at the Great American Beer Festival. Friends describe him as a perfectionist who always downplayed his accomplishments.

Gordon didn’t have jobs. Gordon had passions.

  1. Gordon was my dads uncle, unfortunately I never got to meet him, but I’ve been told stories upon stories of what a great guy he was. And of course the story of how he died.
