Jeremy Ryan Tighe

Jeremy Tighe was born February 23‚ 1993‚ to Jerri Johnson of Evansville‚ Indiana‚ and Tim Tighe of Cleveland‚ Ohio. Jeremy worked for the City of Evansville as a lifeguard from the age of fifteen. He gave swimming lessons to children in the community and loved the water.

He graduated from Central High School in 2011‚ where he was a member of the swim team. He was very involved with Young Life‚ serving as a mentor.

Jeremy started with McCutchanville Fire Department in 2010. He was an Indiana state-certified Firefighter I and II‚ a state-certified First Responder‚ a state-certified EMT‚ and a member of the Indiana Volunteer Firemen’s Association.

Jeremy was an avid firefighter. He lived at the firehouse and was very involved in day-to-day operations at the firehouse.

Jeremy had a smile that could light any room. He put everyone in front of himself‚ and everyone who knew Jeremy loved him. He loved spending time with his friends and supporting local bands.

Jeremy‚ you will be remembered by many.

On February 22‚ 2012‚ Jeremy made his last run in the fire service with McCutchanville Fire Department. He always said‚ ‘Don’t talk about it. Be about it.’ He lived his short 18 years to the fullest.
