Ryan is pursuing his Elementary Education Degree. He is hopeful to find a career that will make a difference in children’s lives. Successful completion of the coursework will lead Ryan to find a job as a fifth-grade teacher and after a year or so, he plans to enroll in a master’s program in school administration.
While the pandemic has been challenging for everyone, Ryan has been privileged to work alongside teachers in the public school system to get hands-on experience. He has been working with the America Reads/America Counts Program where he tutors students who need that little push to keep going. He is active in numerous intramural sports programs and with the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Chief Chad Hoefle says of Ryan, “he is a positive, responsible and dedicated young man. He puts 100% into all that he does.” Ryan shares, “I truly would not be where I am today with the support of the connections and the scholarships that the Foundation has provided for me.”
