Fireman's Fund Insurance Company was founded in 1863 with a mission to give a portion of its profits to the fire service. It was a good idea then, and it's a great idea now as fire departments are being asked to do more, oftentimes with fewer resources.

The Fireman's Fund Heritage program is Fireman's Fund Insurance Company's commitment to support firefighters for safer communities. Through this program, millions of dollars in grants are provided each year for important national programs such as the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's "Everyone Goes Home" campaign, and for individual fire departments needing equipment, training and community education programs.
