“A well-developed sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your steps as you walk the tightrope of life.” – William Arthur Ward
We know it’s dark right now, that there is great suffering and small suffering, what a friend referred to recently as the “constant tiny losses” of the pandemic. We also know the importance of smiles and laughter, especially when things feel heaviest. One of the most beautiful images from our family events is the intermixing of laughter and tears.
So, give us what you’ve got right now to help us all smile and laugh and breathe a little. That funny thing your kid said, a picture of your dopey dog, a light moment from the past few weeks, or a memory of a time when you laughed until you cried.
What is lifting you up and reminding you to smile right now? Laughter is best when shared.
The Fire Hero Family Programs team is here for you. While we are adapting to these new circumstances, we are researching ways to bring resources, workshops, and meetings to you virtually. In the coming weeks, we will provide resources and information to help you stay connected.
