Athena Schwantes-Hodge is a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and the Founder and Executive Director of The Etiquette Consultants, Inc. based in Georgia. She trains children and adults in both social and business etiquette, which heighten their awareness of “the power of etiquette.” Her experience also includes sixteen years in the Human Resources field, where her accomplishments in recruitment and employee retention made her a highly favorable person in Corporate America.
She is well respected by her peers and is widely known as a professional who knows how to motivate and mobilize people to strive for excellence and embrace positive change.
Because of her expertise, Athena was asked to represent the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to solicit change. She spoke in various cities with “Whistle Stop Tour, delivering her story of the tragic loss of her beloved husband. She also had the unique opportunity to deliver a motivational message before the U.S. Congress and Senate. It was because of this she received a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet President George Bush.
Athena is happily remarried to Gregory Hodge, Jr., but was the proud wife of fallen firefighter Russell Schwantes, from Atlanta, Georgia. Together they have two beautiful daughters Holly and Morgan. Since her recent marriage she was blessed with two additional stepchildren, Ethan and Jaclyn Hodge. Athena believes the tragedy of losing someone she loved so deeply created an opportunity for change. Change that will improve the lives of those left behind.
