Kelly M. Kirwan

kirwin_large Kelly joined Motorola in 1983 as a Radio Communications Representative for Land Mobile Products Sector (LMPS) in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1984, he was promoted to Zone Sales Manager in Salt Lake City, and in 1987 was transferred to Colorado Springs, Colorado as Zone Sales Manager. Kelly relocated to Anchorage, Alaska in 1989 and served as District Sales Manager for Motorola International for the next several years.

In 1997, he transferred to Portland, Oregon as Sales Team Leader in the states of Alaska, Oregon, and Southern Washington for the Western Division. Two years later, Kelly relocated to San Diego, California and assumed responsibility for Southern California, becoming a Territory Manager for the Western Division.

In July of 2002, Kelly relocated to Florida to lead the Southern Division as MCEI Vice President of the Focused Account Sales Team. In February of 2005, Motorola consolidated three geographic divisions within the United States into one new organization that would focus on State and Local Government and Commercial Market customers. Kelly was chosen to lead the East Region of the Focused Account Sales Team in April 2005.

During the 2005 hurricane season, Kelly was part of the executive team that led Motorola’s emergency response team to restore communications for public safety agencies in areas impacted by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Motorola’s ongoing response to these natural disasters represented the single largest disaster recovery effort in the company’s history.

In August of 2006, Kelly led the new North America Focus Account Sales Team (FAST) as Vice President. In April of 2009, he took charge of the North America Government Markets group where he was responsible for four areas of core competency – go-to-market, channel management, business operations, and systems integration and services.

Kelly received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Utah State University where he lettered in football and wrestling.
