Steve VanderGriend is an executive in the paper industry with 30 years of experience in operations and finance. Steve has a BA from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA and a MBA from Aurora University, Aurora, IL. His wife Marci manages a quilt store in Reedley. Their daughter, Andriana is employed as a lawyer with the London Stock Exchange Group in Washington, DC.
Steve and Marci’s son, Zachary was killed September 1, 2008 in Reno, NV. He was employed by Neptune Aviation as a crew chief serving aboard Air Tanker 09. His memory lives on with the friends and support network of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Steve and Marci have been volunteering for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation at the Memorial Weekend since 2010 and have been actively involved with families on their journey. Most recently, Marci has been leading the chapel vigil during Memorial Weekend. Other involvement with the Foundation has been volunteering at trade shows, survivor conferences, and Taking Care of Our Own® seminars. We are also involved with leading Grief Share seminars in our community.
