The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is honored to announce that we have once again earned a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. We are equally excited to share that we’ve earned the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency—their highest level of recognition—for the second year in a row.
America’s fallen fire heroes, who died in the line of duty, were honored at the 41st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend on October 8-9, 2022. The names of 148 firefighters became a permanent part of the National Memorial in honor of their sacrifices.

As Fire Hero Families gather in Emmitsburg for the 41st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, Whelen Engineering and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) have teamed up with National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) to honor these fallen fire heroes at the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on October 8, 2022, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
On Thursday, September 29, leaders of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus presented 148 American flags flown over the U.S. Capitol to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
