Programs for Children of Fallen Firefighters- Kids Camp ages 4-6

New in 2017!

In 2017, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will partner again with Comfort Zone Camp to provide a weekend bereavement camp for children of fallen firefighters who have been honored in Emmitsburg. For the first time, the Foundation will hold both the 4-6 age camp and the 7-17 age camp together in Colorado.

The NFFF will host a camp for 4-6 year-olds and their surviving parent. All activities will be held onsite at the Denver Marriott in Westminster, Colorado, and children will stay with their parent overnight and during all times when they are not in camp sessions. This camp program will be run by NFFF staff, behavioral health providers who specialize in working with young children, and volunteers. The camp program will include a mix of activities appropriate for this age group, as well as some activities for children and parents together.

Younger campers and their parents will arrive at the hotel on Friday afternoon, where they will have time to get to know other families attending camp. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, young campers will attend camp while parents attend a separate session. The Saturday afternoon session will be for parents and children together.

On Sunday after lunch, there will be a closing ceremony with our Comfort Zone Camp program at the Glacier View Ranch in Ward, Colorado. Young campers and their parents are invited and encouraged to participate in this event. We will provide transportation to and from Glacier View Ranch.

Camp will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until
June 20, 2017 or until all spaces are full.

Book flights to arrive at Denver International Airport before 1 p.m. on Friday, July 21 and to depart after 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 23. On Friday, we will provide transportation from the airport to the hotel and to Glacier View Ranch. On Sunday evening and Monday, we will provide return transportation to Denver International Airport. If you travel outside the designated times, you are responsible for making your own arrangements.

Please forward your flight itinerary to Eric Nagle at before June 20, 2017.
