NFFF Virtual Gathering for Men—Would You Join Us?
If you haven’t yet attended a gathering of Men Forging Ahead (MFA), April would be a great time to start! Our guest presenter this month is Chief Matt Tobia. He will be sharing his experiences as a Memorial Weekend Family Escort.
As everyone who has attended Memorial Weekend when their firefighter was honored knows, the volunteer Family Escorts play an incredibly important role in supporting our Fire Hero Families throughout the weekend. In fact, as a member of our extended fire service family, serving as a Family Escort yourself one day might even be of interest to you. Either way, Matt’s perspective on this “unforgettable” experience is something you’ll want to hear.
MFA is our casual “for men only” peer support group that meets monthly via Zoom. The next virtual gathering is taking place on Saturday, April 23 at 3:00 pm ET. MFA is open to all Fire Hero Family husbands/life partners, sons/step-sons, and brothers/step-brothers, age 18 and up. Importantly, the group offers you a welcoming place where you can express yourself without judgment—and forge lasting friendships and connections with other Fire Hero Family members who have experienced similar loss.
So please, consider joining us as we welcome Matt and hear his story. No pressure to speak—our group supports you in whatever way you feel comfortable.
