Men Forging Ahead - NFFF/CZC Kids Camp Changes Lives

Have you heard of NFFF’s Men Forging Ahead?

This casual “for men only” peer support group meets monthly via Zoom.
The next virtual gathering is taking place on Saturday, March 26 at 3:00 ET.

Founded in November of 2020, MFA offers you a welcoming place where you can express yourself without judgment—and forge lasting friendships and connections with other Fire Hero husbands/life partners, sons/stepsons, and brothers/stepbrothers who have experienced similar loss. Sometimes we have “open discussions” amongst ourselves; other times we have a featured guest.

This month, we are excited to be welcoming Chief Chad Hoefle from Stillman Fire Protection District in Stillman Valley, Illinois. He’ll be sharing his experiences as a volunteer with our Kids Camp program—an NFFF initiative that has been described as life-changing for young campers and volunteers alike.

This topic is especially timely as we resume in-person programming for all ages this spring and summer.

About Chief Chad Hoefle

Chad Hoefle began his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter with the Stillman Fire Protection District in 1996. At the time, Stillman was 100% volunteer and soon grew to a combination department with a full time Chief. As Hoefle became more involved in classes and teaching, he progressed his way up to the rank of Fire Chief. Chief Hoefle contributes the success of his department to the members and officers that serve the community.

Being as heavily involved with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) as time allows, Chief Hoefle has served as an escort for fallen firefighters’ families at Memorial weekend, served as a Big Buddy for kids at Comfort Zone Camp for kids who have lost a parent in the line of duty, and attended classes and summits across the United States. Chief Hoefle resides in Stillman Valley with his two children, Julia and Macklin, his amazing girlfriend Micki and her two children Kayla and Cullen. Being a father is the greatest position he has held.

The March get-together offers you a great chance to meet others in our Men Forging Ahead group, too.
