Join us at CINTAS’ San Diego Area Facility, 8254 Ronson Road, San Diego, CA 92111 Monday, May 23, 2022, or Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 0830-1600 for a unique professional development opportunity. CINTAS is hosting a well-known and respected National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) instructor, Everyone Goes Home® Advocate Captain J. Jafari Harris (San Diego Fire Department). Captain Harris will be presenting a morning of leadership and strategy and tactics topics, “Your Leadership Quotient” and “The First Five Minutes,” followed by an afternoon of a new NFFF offering called “Preventing the Preventable.” You won’t want to miss a chance to evaluate your leadership style, on-scene arrival thought process, and opportunity to gain some valuable insight into elements of community risk reduction directly impacting your safety. There is no charge for the day.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided courtesy of CINTAS and a tour of the facility is included in the day. You only need to attend one day. Certificates of attendance will be provided. Seating is limited to 25 each day.

About the Instructors

Captain J. Jafari HarrisCaptain J. Jafari Harris has been a member of the fire service for over 25 years. He started as a firefighter with the East County Fire Protection District in 1996 and in 2000 he was hired as a firefighter/paramedic with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (CA), where he currently holds the rank of Captain at Fire Station 12 serving in Southeast San Diego. Captain Harris is a State of California Fire Officer and Instructor, holds Associate of Science Degrees in both Fire Technology and Emergency Medical Tech/Paramedic and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Organizational Leadership. In addition to his daily duties Captain Harris has worked to develop equipment and technology such as incident command tools, firefighter survival equipment, and training curriculum for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and its partner agencies in the San Diego region. Captain Harris is also an Everyone Goes Home® Advocate for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
