We’re excited to invite you to the
2020 Fire Hero Family Wellness Conference in Branson, Missouri!
This conference is open to spouses, life partners, parents, adult children and siblings of fallen firefighters honored at the National Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The conference will begin with a welcome dinner reception on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Workshops are designed to assist you in facing the challenges and difficult experiences that come after the loss of a loved one. Open discussions will be facilitated by peers and will provide the opportunity for sharing ideas and different perspectives while supporting each other.
Please plan to arrive between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF). If you are using NFFF-provided airport transportation, outbound flights on Wednesday should be scheduled for departure between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. Thursday flights should be scheduled for departures between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Peer Support Training
A Peer Support training will be offered on Sunday prior to the start of the conference. This is a refresher course and continuing education for those who have taken the NFFF Peer Support training previously. If you are interested in attending this training, please plan to arrive on Saturday, May 16, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Extend Your Stay
Local firefighters have graciously planned a day of sightseeing for Wednesday, May 20, 2020, after the conclusion of the conference. If you plan to extend your stay and enjoy the outings, please note you will be responsible for making additional hotel reservations outside of our room block and any costs associated with this day.
There is space for 125 attendees, on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate more family members, the conference program, meals and excursions are for registered family members only. Registration will remain open until all spots are taken or until April 15, 2020.
