My father, David Ellis Pratt was a founding member of the Flat Creek-Bethesda Fire Department(now the Williamson Fire & Rescue). He helped to establish the Fire Department and organize our First Responder Program. My dad was A Lieutenant in the Department and established the Jr. Firefighter Program. He died in the line of duty after responding to a medical call, which he had a heart attack in the driveway after the patient was transported, on March 13, 1989, at the age of 50.
