‘He gave his life doing the one thing he knew best…helping others.’

Ferrell was a professional firefighter with the City of Fayetteville for 7 years and a volunteer firefighter for 13 years.

He had been Chief at Westarea Volunteer Fire Department in Fayetteville for 11 months when he made the ultimate sacrifice when answering a call.

He left behind his wife of 13 years and 3 children. Ferrell Jackson Hood‚ 10 years‚ Tanya Marie Hood‚ 7 years and Amber Jo Hood‚ 4 years.

Ferrell is missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

    He was Chief of Weatarea Fire Department in Fayetteville, NC. Ferrell also worked for the City of Fayetteville as a firefighter.
