Captain Hampton Lee Hobbs was injured at a house fire on March 15‚ 1981 when a roof collapsed on him. He passed away from his injuries on October 17‚ 1981.

Hobbs was a 14 year veteran of our department‚ having been a charter member of our rescue squad and was at present a fire captain.

He is survived by a wife and 2 sons.
