Jeff Renner had served with the Baltic Fire Department since 1979. He also served with Swiss Valley Ambulance and Smith Ambulance until he gave his life in the line of duty serving his community of Baltic, Ohio on September 18 1996. Jeff was a 35 year old father of 3 boys and a loving husband. He dedicated his off time to coaching and umpiring all levels of baseball. He was a man who never met a stranger and helped anyone and everyone he could. After he passed he left his love of the fire service and dedication to helping others with his 3 boys: Jarred now a Dean of Students for two schools in Ohio , Joel a machinist and Volunteer Firefighter in Ohio, and Judson a full time firefighter in Gulfport, Mississippi.
