  1. Went to school with Jeff. He was my partner in the 9th grade electrical class William E Grady high school. I loved this guy always had my back. I was a small guy and Jeff was a big 9th grader. He would allow no one to bully me around or for that matter anyone else. Beautiful person with a great heart.

  4. Jeff was in the fire department with my father, Neal in South Salem, NY. I was friends with his daughter Victoria. I remember family dinners, playing with her at the annual carnival, and just following her around in general (because she was older than me). Mrs. Giordano, Victoria, Nicholas, and Alexandra, my family and I think of you every year at this time. We went to the 9/11 Memorial in December and were so shaken when we saw Jeff’s truck.

  5. Wow! What an amazing guy. You did so much in your too short life and made a difference in so many lives. I carried your name and photo on the 15th anniversary Gettysburg 9/12 Memorial Stair Climb. I am honored. I called out your name and rang the fire bell for you. Rest in peace, sir.

  6. I climbed in honor of Jeffrey at the memorial stair climb in Nashville, TN today. I am 10 years older than Jeffrey was on September 11th, 2001 and only started training as a Volunteer Fire Fighter in January of this year. I can never be a career FF like Jeffrey but I promise to do the best I can!
    Never forgotten,

  7. I felt honored to climb Snow King Mountain in Jackson Hole, WY today carrying a badge with Jeffrey’s photo on it along with many other folks carrying photos of 9/11 fallen first responders. My son is a volunteer firefighter in our county and I am very proud of his service to our community as I’m sure Jeffrey’s family is so proud of his service and legacy.

  8. I climbed Snow King Mountain in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in honor of Jeffrey along with local town and county first responders. The equal to 110 stories was just below the last switchback to the summit. I am very proud of my son who is a volunteer firefighter here in Teton County as I know Jeffrey’s family is of him for serving their community.

  9. Today, September 22, 2018, I participated in a stair climb at Lambeau Field honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. I had the honor to climb with Jeffery’s picture on my shirt. From what I read, it seems like Jeffery was a great guy. I’m 15 years old, so I wasn’t alive on 9/11/01 but I will never forget what Jeffery and many others did on that day. Thank you, Jeffery J. Giordano for your sacrifice.

  13. I read a beautiful story from a random person regarding this firefighter. I am copying and pasting what she wrote “I did not have family or friends that perished on 9/11, however I climbed the very first 9/11 stair climb in Greenbelt MD many years ago in remembrance. I was given a picture of this brave soul to carry around my neck as I climbed. I do not know who he is of course, but I think of his sacrifice often. His picture hangs in my room in hopes that I can help in any small way keep his memory alive. I would love to hear his story. Thank you for your sacrifice Jeff Giordano, Ladder 3 ❤ We will always remember.”

  15. I carried Jeffery’s picture with me today as I was climbing at the HCESD2 first annual memorial stair climb in Beaumont, TX. I found myself thinking of him often and praying for his family and other loved ones. This was my first memorial climb, but it will not be my last. Thank you Jeffery for your selfless sacrifice on that horrible day.
To his family, if you are reading this, please know that his sacrifice has touched so many lives and our country is blessed to call him our hero.

  16. Today, I am climbing in Honor of Jeff. Every step I take will be done in his memory. Every drop of sweat will be a tribute to his dedication to making a difference in this world. As firefighters, we never know when our last day will come but Jeff, on his day off, jumped in the Battalion Chief’s car and sped to the scene to help. Today, I salute firefighter Giardano’s wife and children, and thank them for the sacrifice they have endured. I pray for their health, safety, and wellbeing.
