Joshua Lee Warren

Joshua Lee Warren was 33 years old. He was a loving husband to his wife, Kimberly, for 11 years. He has two beautiful children whom he absolutely adored, a daughter, Kelsey, 10, and son, Max, 4.

Josh was passionate about firefighting and had been in the fire service for more than 14 years. He was an avid member of East Lincoln Fire Department, Alexis Fire Department, and Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department.

Josh was an active member in his church, Westport Baptist. He was a proud member in the Masonic Lodge. He loved to hunt and work on just about anything. More than anything, he loved spending time with his wife and kids. He was the best father in the universe, and his kids meant the world to him! He will be greatly missed every day!

We love you!!!!

The firefighter was my son, my favorite son. He wanted to be a firefighter for as long as I can remember. As a little boy Josh put on his snow pants, boots, plastic firemen’s hat,(this was before they had cool children’s firemen’s gear),reminding us of the “stop, drop, and roll,” checking outlets, making sure handles on pans were turned inward, making sure we had an escape plan in case of fire, and batteries in smoke alarms to be sure all was “up to code.” All he ever wanted to be was a firefighter. I thank God he was able to follow his dream, his heart’s desire. He did what he loved and died doing what he was called to do – serving his community. He loved God and loved his family – all his family. He would do anything for anyone. My heart aches for hi everyday but knowing he is with his Lord and savior and I will see him again brings comfort.
