Larry R. Walsh‚ 45‚ of the Albert City Fire Department died when a propane tank exploded at a farm near Albert City on April 9‚ 1998. Members of the department had responded to a fire at the turkey farm. Walsh‚ an avid sportsman‚ served on the Albert City Fire Department for 16 years and as an EMT for 15 years. Also killed in the explosion was firefighter Thomas Archer‚ Jr.
