Firefighter Lewis Haskell of Engine 2, passed away on January 22, 1983, after suffering a heart attack while opening the hydrant at a structure fire on the corner of Lindegar Street and W Elizabeth Avenue in November 1982. Two months later, while still recuperating, Firefighter Haskell suffered a fatal attack at home. Lewis Haskell was born on December 17, 1935.
