Mark was born on April 15, 1963, in Port Chester, New York, the fourth of eight children born to Angelo and Helen Senno. A graduate of Carmel High School, he earned a business degree from Marist College in 1985. Shortly after, he joined Moore Business Forms and enjoyed a successful stint as a sales representative. In his spare time, Mark loved to fish and enjoyed every opportunity to do so with his father, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
On August 16, 1998, Mark received his appointment to the NYC Fire Department, where he proudly served as a firefighter and driver at Ladder 50 in the Bronx. As one of New York’s Bravest, he had found his passion.
Mark retired after more than 20 years of duty in December 2018 and remained close to many of his fellow firefighters. He loved camping and immediately purchased an RV to spend his time traveling up and down the East Coast, visiting family and friends.
Mark served in the rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, and for several months afterwards. In 2019, he was diagnosed with COPD and passed away in his home on
October 5, 2023. He is deeply missed by his siblings, nieces, and nephews, whom he always held close to his heart. His favorite closing to any conversation was, “Keep Smiling,” and we know he is doing just that as he looks down upon us all.
