Firefighter Matthew E. Colpoys, age 47, of the Buffalo Fire Department died in a propane explosion on December 27, 1983.
Firefighter Matthew Colpoys was a appointed to the Buffalo Fire Department in 1960. He was also a member of the Iron Workers Local 6 and an avid sports coach at the St. Thomas Aquinas School.
He is survived by a wife and four children.
