My father‚ Peter ‘Butch’ Borwegen‚ served 23 years on his department‚ following in his father’s footsteps. He was a hard worker even off the job. He would cut older people’s lawns‚ fix their AC units‚ or just listen if they needed it.
He left behind a wife‚ 2 daughters‚ and a grandson (he never knew)‚ a son-in-law (he never knew)‚ his father‚ and a sister. He is missed every day and loved still very much.

He was my Officer in engine 11. He was a great Officer and a good person. I enjoyed learning from him. I was working the day he passed. It was a very sad day.
