Stephen E. Gessler‚ 44‚ Assistant Chief of the Little Falls Volunteer Fire Department‚ died of a heart attack while performing search and rescue in Little Falls on December 12‚ 1998.He had served as Chief of the Great Notch Fire Company #4 and was a former township deputy mayor.
