Honoring Fallen Firefighters
We paid tribute to the extraordinary lives and service of 316 fallen heroes, adding their names to the permanent bronze plaques encircling the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Supporting Fire Hero Families
We welcomed 1,405 new Fire Hero Family members at Memorial Weekend and the NFFF/FDNY Memorial, supported all Fire Hero Families through our programs, and awarded 56 scholarships to children and partners of fallen firefighters.
Empowering Firefighters
We supported coworkers of the 316 firefighters honored in 2025, engaged 150 departments through peer support, made 493 LAST contacts after line-of-duty deaths, assisted with 170+ monthly PSOB claims, and trained 561 personnel through Taking Care of Our Own®.
Reducing Preventable LODDs
Our ongoing effort to reduce preventable line-of-duty deaths was more relevant than ever in 2025, with first responders facing catastrophic challenges like wildfires and hurricanes. NFFF’s Fire Programs training reached 4,126 attendees in-person and 207,833 through virtual trainings.
