Lissette Garcia joined the Foundation staff in June 2011. Working in different administrative roles allowed her to learn the Foundation’s mission and its positive impact, not only in the fire service community but also in the lives of the families that lost a loved one in the line of duty. “It is truly amazing to see how many lives we touch.”
Prior to joining the Foundation, Lissette lived in Philadelphia, PA and worked at Independence Blue Cross, for 10 years. She worked as a Financial Analyst then later transitioned to a Business Systems Analyst. Lissette currently works as an HR Specialist for the Foundation. Having the fundamental understanding of project management and the project lifecycle allows her to implement the best Human Resource practices to build a stronger HR division.
Lissette currently resides in Maryland with her family. She visits her family and friends in Philadelphia as much as possible.
