Firefighters employed by Alachua County who are permanent employees and work at least 20 hours per week. Benefit eligibility begins the 1st of the month following one month of consecutive employment.

Life Insurance
Policy benefit of $10,000 provided by county. Additional benefits, including Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, may apply if policyholder opted to purchase additional voluntary coverage.
