Life Insurance
The county provides a life insurance beneift of $50,000 to the survivors of a firefighter killed in the line-of-duty.

Deferred Benefit Retirement Plan
The county provides a deferred benefit retirement plan death benefit to the survivors of a firefighter killed in the line-of-duty. This benefit is calculated based upon the years of service and salary level.
