Richard Alan Cusson

Submitted by his parents

Rickey lost his life on June 30‚ 2002. It is truly a tragedy that such a hero was taken from us at an early time in his life. They say time heals all wounds; but the passage of time will not let us forget our son.

The day before his passing‚ he did yard work with his younger brother Jonathan‚ and his friend Mike whom he referred to as his much older brother. He was having a lot of fun. Then they all went swimming.

There was a side of Rick not too many people were aware of. He was kind‚ gentle‚ and loving. Even if he didn’t like you he treated you all the same. He was the type of person who didn’t like to be in the spotlight. Yet he was always there to lend a hand. You never knew what to expect from Ricky‚ but whatever it was it was going to be entertaining. He was so full of life.

I saw him that Sunday morning‚ I was on my way home. We stopped at the corner of our road for a few minutes. Who ever thought that would be the last time we spoke or saw each other. He was on his way to his friend Mike’s house to help him. That was always his way. Rick still lived at home‚ and he will be missed.
