NFFF’s Sarbanes Scholarship Program provides educational funding to the spouses, children, and stepchildren of fallen firefighters—helping to ensure that even if financial circumstances have changed, fire hero families can still achieve their educational dreams.

The 2023-2024 NFFF Scholarship Program awarded a total of $504,149 to 63 recipients. The scholarships are based on applicants’ financial needs and academic performance – emphasizing those studying science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and public safety. The 2023 – 2024 scholarship recipients include 41 previous scholarship recipients and 22 first-time recipients.
