2024 Virtual Camp HAL
Event Details
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Family Programs team are pleased to invite you and your children to attend our Virtual Camp HAL sessions leading up to our in-person Camp HAL this summer!
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will be offering virtual camp sessions for children ages 4-6, which will include pre-camp sessions for parents/guardians. Camp and parent sessions will be hosted by PhD Stephanie Heitkemper, a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), who specializes in working with young children who have experienced loss. Stephanie will include a mix of activities and strategies to help children grow, learn, and navigate their grief and to help parents support their children through this process. This camp program uses play therapy and expressive therapy to help children express themselves in their natural language.
Being with other children who have experienced a similar loss can be quite significant in healing. You’re sure to develop friendships and make connections within our community.
We hope to see you on June 21 – 23, 2024 for the in-person Camp HAL in Indiana.
