Troy Thompson

Firefighter Troy Thompson dedicated his life to service—his family, his community, and his fire department. A devoted father, trusted friend, and selfless public servant, Troy’s legacy is one of bravery, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Born on May 25, 1977, in Wayne County, North Carolina, to Pam Price and the late Bobby Thompson, Troy was raised with strong faith and a heart for service. His passion for firefighting led him to join the Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department, where he became a respected and dependable firefighter. Whether responding to fires, medical calls, or community emergencies, Troy met every challenge with courage and dedication.

One of the greatest honors of his life was serving alongside his son, Mason, in the fire department. He took immense pride in mentoring younger firefighters and ensuring that the department continued its tradition of excellence and commitment to the community. His knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment maintenance, and emergency response made him a valued team member and a trusted friend to his fellow firefighters.

Troy’s service extended beyond the firehouse. A dedicated member of Daly’s Chapel Church, he served as a deacon, choir member, and active volunteer, always putting his faith into action. His generous spirit and willingness to lend a hand made him a beloved member of both his church and the greater Seven Springs community.

Outside of firefighting, Troy was known for his vast knowledge of vehicles. He could identify make, model, and details of almost any car or truck, a skill that amazed and entertained his friends. He never met a stranger and had a gift for conversation, making everyone feel welcome in his presence.

Troy’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted father to Mason and Mackenzie, always putting their needs above his own and guiding them with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love.
