Director of Human Resources
Lissette Garcia joined the Foundation staff in 2011, and from the very beginning, she has embraced the Foundation’s mission with enthusiasm and dedication. Over the years, Lissette has witnessed the profound impact the Foundation has made, not only within the fire service community but also in the lives of the families who’ve lost loved ones in the line of duty.
Lissette holds a background in Human Resources Management (HRM) and Psychology and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). With extensive experience in project management, she leads with strategic insight and operational efficiency. Before joining the Foundation, Lissette spent 10+ years at Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, initially as a Financial Analyst and later transitioning to a Business Systems Analyst in Project Management, where she enhanced processes and project outcomes through her analytical expertise.
Now, as the Director of Human Resources, Lissette is proud to work alongside a fantastic team that she deeply values. Her strategic vision and commitment to building a supportive, purpose-driven culture have contributed to sustaining the mission’s meaningful impact. She is grateful for the incredible people she works with and the collaborative, positive atmosphere they all help foster together.
Lissette’s leadership is rooted in integrity, and she takes great pride in supporting the team and ensuring the Foundation’s personnel remain strong, cohesive, and focused on the mission at hand.
