In addition to the Federal PSOB and State benefits provided by the Virginia State Retirement System (VRS), the county pays for basic group term life insurance. This provides 4 times the employee’s salary in the event of accident death.
Employees have the option of purchasing a supplemental insurance, up to a maximum of $700,000.
Volunteer Members are covered by the Federal PSOB and State VRS programs.
