Caroline is currently a junior and is pursuing her bachelor’s in nursing. She plans to work as a nurse practitioner in the ER or ICU upon graduating. Caroline shares that having received our scholarship previously that she has been able to cover all educational expenses thereby discontinuing the need to work to focus on being a full-time student.
She shares that she has known that she always wanted to work in the medical field. Caroline currently is active in the University of North Florida Hearts for Homeless club. She participates in activities to make and package food and delivers it to a group of individuals who suffer from food scarcity. Caroline currently is volunteering at the local YMCA to provide a yoga class specifically geared toward disabled individuals.
High school guidance counselor Stephanie Wheeler states, “I have known Caroline for 15 years as her class sponsor and a family friend. I have witnessed her drive and determination to excel academically both at the high school and collegiate level. Caroline is an extraordinary student and young lady; a hard worker and is passionate in her educational pursuit.”
