Elizabeth (“Lizzy”) shares that since her father’s passing in 2009 of a heart attack, her love of studying has grown. She says that upon entering high school, she chose to attempt athletic training and throughout high school, it taught her to be selfless, kind, reliable, hard-working, and knowledgeable. Learning these things about herself, Lizzy realized these traits aligned with her career goal to become a Registered Nurse.
She has always prioritized school mixed with a genuine love of learning. This led Lizzy to obtain the distinguished honor of making the National Honors Society. She feels that pushing hard to learn has allowed her to branch out as she pursues her calling to become a nurse.
Lori Branson, Intergenerational Program Coordinator says, “Lizzy is a hard worker with strong determination and drive. She works extremely hard, and these habits will serve her well in nursing school. She goes the extra mile to make everyone she meets comfortable and to feel important which will serve her well as she pursues a job as a nurse in the cardiology field.”
