Emily’s career goal is to work in fashion merchandising. She hopes to work in the fashion and design industry when she completes her college career with a bachelor’s degree.
In addition to working towards completing her degree, Emily lives independently and solely supports herself. Emily works full time and as many shifts as possible to support her rent, utilities, groceries, etc.
Retired Oklahoma City Firefighter Lieutenant Tommy Smart worked with Emily’s father and has known her for most of her life. Lieutenant Smart speaks on Emily’s completion of her associate’s degree as well as keeping a job since she was sixteen years old. Rose Gilbert, general manager of a restaurant where Emily has worked for three years and attributes her hard work ethic and positive attitude to her success as an employee.
