Jack’s career goal is to be a firefighter with the Fire Department of New York. He plans to pursue both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. He has experience as a volunteer firefighter and recently completed NYS EMT certification.

Jack has volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Patchogue Fire Department, the Mastic Fire Department, Patchogue Ambulance Company, Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, New York City’s Fire Wire, and Comfort Zone Camp. He serves as a junior board member with the FDNY Firefighter John F McNamara Foundation and as an honorary director of the FealGood Foundation. He played varsity baseball for all four years of high school.

English teacher Meagan Miller says that Jack is a hands-on learner who understands best when content is related to problem solving real-world situations. She says that Jack can remain calm, professional, and quick-witted under the most stressful circumstances. Chief of Operations Zibrim Banse says Jack shows a level of dedication to serving his community that is unmatched by his peers. He describes Jack as enthusiastic, independent, and a team player.
