Kennedy’s career goal is to become a child psychologist with a focus on trauma.
In addition to attending school fulltime, Kennedy helps her widowed mother with household finances and her three younger sisters. She would like to be more involved in extracurricular activities and hopes to be able to do that once her mother is working again and the primary needs of the household are more secure.
Assistant Fire Chief Michael Doan highly endorses Kennedy for a scholarship, citing her ambition, persistence for excellence, and servant leadership. Chief Fire Marshal Davbram Flowers describes Kennedy as a “future trailblazer” who is fearless and follows through on things she sets out to accomplish.
