Marissa’s goal is to become a nurse practitioner. Still in high school, Marissa has completed certifications in phlebotomy, CPR/first aid, and CareerSafe/OSHA and is on track to complete the Certified Nursing Assistant program.
Marissa is a member of the National Honor Society and the student council. She has participated in 4-H for years, plays several sports, and teaches sailing in the summer. She volunteers at a monthly food pantry and at blood drives at her school. She volunteers at her church and helps elderly people in the community.
Health instructor Robin Walicki says Marissa, “balances school, work, and community involvement with dedication and grace. Teacher Kelly Sisung describes Marissa as hardworking, caring, and “driven to help others.”
