Visiting the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

In preparation for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial will be closed to visitors starting at sunrise on Tuesday, April 29th, and will remain closed through Friday, May 9th. However, you can still visit the Memorial virtually through the Memorial Webcam on our website. 

The Candlelight Service at 7:30 pm on Saturday, May 3 and the Memorial Service at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 4 are open to the public. All parking is at Liberty Mountain Resort. Learn more.

Plan a Visit

The National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD, the home of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, is open for Public Visitors to Campus Memorials. All visitors will park in the lot adjacent to Building VI where you will be security screened. Restrooms are also available in Building V1 for your convivence. Visitors are not permitted to enter NETC buildings and should follow the "marked" route on the map provided by campus security for access to the National Memorial.
