International Fire Service Journal of Leadership and Management Research Symposium 25

The International Fire Service Journal of Leadership and Management (IFSJLM) hosts its annual Research Symposium (RS) at the Summer IFSTA Validation Conference in Tulsa, OK. Both the symposium and the conference are sponsored by Fire Protection Publications, the world’s leading publisher of fire-related training and educational materials.

During the Symposium, Dr. Danny Kistner and Dr. Marcus Hendershot will present, Assessing the Contemporary Safety Climate: Firefighter Views on Training, Tactics, and SCBA Use. Their presentation will include the results of the 2024 NFFF Firefighter Behaviors and Viewpoints Survey, which studied what firefighters think and how they act as related to high-risk behaviors and viewpoints. They will explore relationships, if any, between those behaviors and viewpoints with their experiences.
