Allen L. Heirtzler‚ 22‚ a member of the Slaughter Volunteer Fire Department‚ died in a single car motor vehicle accident while responding to a mobile home fire in Clinton on September 4‚ 1998. A resident of Ethel‚ he was also a full time deputy sheriff with the East Felicana Parish in Clinton.
