Brian Andrew Lee‚ 38‚ a seven-year career firefighter with the Jersey City Fire Department‚ died on November 16‚ 1999‚ after returning from an emergency response. He went into cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital and died from an inflammation of the heart. Lee had been an outstanding high school athlete and was active in coaching his oldest son’s youth basketball teams.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
