David Timothy ‘Tim’ Newman‚ 40‚ of the North Carolina Division of Forest Services‚ died in a helicopter crash en route to a training/education field day on September 7‚ 2000. He was a highly decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Gulf War.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
